Mother's Day in September

Last September 27, 2008 was the celebration of mother's day in my Son's pre-school. It was the first time I really felt emotional for son's achievement. He is now 4 years old and in his junior kinder year. He was able to dance infront of the crowd. I really meant A LOT OF PEROPLE. I never expected he would dance so great with confidence. It touches my heart seeing him performing with full confidence. I just don't know if most mothers out there experienced hiding their teary eyes while watching their child doing the performance right in front of the audience. Whew... all my hardships and pain where gone seeing him like a big boy with independence in him. He would always want to be on his own. I even knew from his classmate's mom that he even told his classmates that i won't be able to come and watch his program just because he doesn't want me to see him dancing. From there I knew how he would be so independent and just not like other kids who doesn't want to stay away from their mommy's skirt. But he is really different.. I love him...I love how he carries himself. I love how he manage to grow up to be a fine boy.

This Photo was taken while we were waiting for Railey's presentation...

Railey was patiently sitting (as he was directed by his teacher) because it's time for the teachers to perform.... While he was seated, I was observing him and I can't help to smile because he was so behave. I never thought of him being patient and just waiting while seated not like the other kids that when being told to sit and yet no one is watching them, they keep on roaming around.

This is the gift that railey gave me. He drew and colored it. What a great improvement. Before he entered PAREF he can't color nicely. But now I can see how his motor skills improved well.

All mothers were called to come up to stage...can you see me??? hehehehe

Tortilla Tacos

Here's our meryenda this afternoon. We have Tortilla Chips, and to make it more interesting to eat I made toppings. Just like Nachos, I used ground beef, fry it with olive oil and good thing we have taco seasoning available in supermarkets to get the taste of a real tacos (this recipe was taught to me by my aunt julie). Anyway, so i top it with ground beef and chiz whiz...and there you go, our plain tortilla chips now became Nachos...homemade nachos and it tastes so great... try it...

My Smokey Eye-makeup And My Falsies

Well, this is the first time I tried doing smokey eyes and look what I ended to...for me not bad...hehehe!!! We are attending a school program for my boy and the show is intended for the mothers. So I think I have to look good coz i know it will be some memorable event between me and my son. Going back to the make up, i used MAC eye shadow for this. For other people who may not know me personally, i have chinky eyes so it's quite small. So doing a smokey eye make-up would make it appear a little bigger and opened. So I used Vanilla (MAC eyeshadow) as a base. I applied all over the entire lid. Then I applied Smut (MAC eyeshadow) to contour. First I applied it from my outer lash line going half of my inner lid then blend, blend, blend. And the secret for a good eye makeup as what professionals say is BLENDING. And I agree since i don't have a professional knowledge in doing it but i think I was able to do it better than the first timers do (naks! yabang)! To make it appear a little opened i applied Clinique's liquid Eye Liner in Black to my upper lashline and applied again Smut MAC eyeshadow to my lower lash line...For the finishing touches I applied my false lashes with a black lash grip glue.

My own recipe of Spicy Tap-si

What you need:

Beef (thin slices)

Garlic

Lemon or Calamansi

Soy Sauce

Salt

Pepper

Sili Labuyo

Butter

For the Marinade:

Mix all the ingredients except butter, leave for at lest 10-15 mins. To make the beef tender and the tase ohhh soo yummy...Let boil the beef together with the marinade. If the consistency of the sause is a litle sticky, you may now add a little butter. Just to make the natural oil comes out and the siling labuyo to make it spicy... it depende on your taste how much sili u like to add. Hehehehe!! Try it.. I'm Sure you'll love it....

A Very Nice Weather - Great Reflection

Whew! It's been two days of raining. I really like it when I feel the cool weather. very relaxing. It's the only time when I get to think back and reflect on how lucky we are to have a house to protect us from the rain showers and flashfloods. Sometimes we get to ask more and more while ignoring whatever we have now is so enough to be thankful for. We are luckier we have good food to eat while others, maybe still looking and begging for foods especially during this season when they can't get to go out to get some food in the streets.

Railey's car collcetion

My son loves cars and he's been crazy about it since the day he was born. No other toys would please him in is tantrum modes except cars. And mind you, he knows how to choose nice cars. he likes die cast cars, remote conrolled and collectible cars. His favoerite car when being asked is "Subaru". (my can't afford that huh) He doesn't buy cars just for te sake of having one. H e really buys cars with great value and vantage. at his early age he knows the concept of drifting. he knows the maneuvers of the steering wheel, he even knows the principle of the shift gears. Can't help imagining i may be developing a new drifter champion! Well, we can support what he likes to do. if he wants to be famous in drifting, so be it. At least at his age he knows what he wants already. and he is sticking to it.

meet my family

Meet mu hubby... Eric with our playful photos. We love capturing every single moments because we both now time can never be brought back and memories can never be erased...

These are my wonderful kids...

Kuya Railey loves to take pictures with his baby sister. He loves rica so much that everytime he comes home from school, he would ask "mommy, how's rica...?" So nice words from my 4 yr old boy. I feel so proud mom hearing those words because it made me felt that i was able to impart good virtue of loving the family in him...

The Making of a Mother

I just want to share something that i happen to read when I was browsing the net about being a Mother. It was so catching to me that i ended posting it to my previous blog site. and re posting it here for my friends to read..maybe a great realization may come to you after reading..

here it goes...

By the time the Lord made mothers, He was into the sixth day working overtime. An Angel appeared and said "Why are you spending so much time on this one?" And the Lord answered and said, "Have you read the specsheet on her? She has to be completely washable, but not elastic; have 200movable parts, all replaceable; run on black coffee and leftovers; have a lapthat can hold three children at one time and that disappears when she stands up;have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart; andhave six pairs of hands." The Angel was astounded at the requirements for this one. "Six pairs of hands! No way!" said the Angel.
The Lord replied, "Oh, it’s not the hands that are theproblem. It’s the three pairs of eyes that mothers must have!" "And that’s on the standard model?" the Angelasked.
The Lord nodded in agreement, "Yep, one pair of eyes areto see through the closed door as she asks her children what they are doing eventhough she already knows. Another pair in the back of her head are to see whatshe needs to know even though no one thinks she can. And the third pair are herein the front of her head. They are for looking at an errant child and sayingthat she understands and loves him or her without even saying a single word."The Angel tried to stop the Lord "This is too much workfor one day. Wait until tomorrow to finish." "But I can’t!" The Lord protested,"I am so close to finishing this creation that is so closeto my own heart. She already heals herself when she is sick AND can feed afamily of six on a pound of hamburger and can get a nine year old to stand inthe shower." The Angel moved closer and touched the woman, "But youhave made her so soft, Lord." "She is soft," the Lord agreed,"but I have also made her tough. You have no idea what shecan endure or accomplish.""Will she be able to think?" asked the Angel.
The Lord replied, "Not only will she be able to think, shewill be able to reason, and negotiate."The Angel then noticed something and reached out and touched the woman’s cheek."Oops, it looks like You have a leak with this model. Itold You that You were trying to put too much into this one."
"That’s not a leak." the Lord objected. "That’s a tear!"
"What’s the tear for?" the Angel asked.
The Lord said, "The tear is her way of expressing her joy,her sorrow, her disappointment, her pain, her loneliness, her grief, and herpride."
The Angel was impressed. "You are a genius, Lord. Youthought of everything for this one. You even created the tear!"
The Lord looked at the Angel and smiled and said, "I’mafraid you are wrong again. I created the woman, but she created the tear!"
